Luke came to us when he was 7 years old. His former family loved him enough to want a better life for him.
Every day was Christmas for Luke. He was the perfect golden retriever; noble, gallant, smart, funny, confident – and beyond handsome. He was never aggressive… but there was no doubt, that he could handle himself in any situation. He brought a unique richness to our lives that no one could have predicted.
After just 4 short years with us, our beloved Luke was diagnosed with cancer. There simply was nothing we could do. We gave him a “celebration of life” feast, with a few of our closest friends – cherishing our last evening with him. On December 16, 2012, with unbearable sorrow, we said our final good bye.
We have been told several times, that we will get to see him again someday on the “rainbow bridge”.
